What does Individual Service Fund (ISF) mean?

ISF is short for ‘Individual Service Fund’. This is a term used in Social Care as one way to mange your person budget. The NHS sometimes refers to this as a Third-Party Budget.

Do I have to pay for this service?

Yes, there is a management fee. This will be taken from your ISF budget or paid by the funding authority (Local Authority or NHS). We will tell you the cost of the service before you start working with us.

What is a Personal Budget?

​If you have care or support needs your local authority will put aside an amount of money to support you. This is called your Personal Budget. The NHS refers to this as a Personal Health Budget (PHB).

Does 'Empowered 2 Support' provide the care?

'Empowered 2 Support' is a neutral provider. This means we do not provide the care and support directly. We act as a broker and focus on exploring different options and providers for you.
